AVOCADO TACOS Ingredients  3 ripe avocados  1 1/2 pounds of hamburger 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion 1 cup of tomato based salsa 1 cup of sour cream 1 cup of finely shredded Mexican cheese blend 1 cup of roughly shredded lettuse 1 package of taco seasoning Directions  In a skillet brown the hamburger, and the onions, crushing the hamburger up into small pieces. Add the taco seasoning, to suit your taste while cooking. When the hamburger is done drain and put it into to a bowl. Cut the avocados in half, and remove the seeds. Carefully remove the avocados from their skins, OR you can leave the outer skins on, your choice.  Put each half on a serving plate with some of the shredded lettuce. Put the cooked hamburger, onion, and taco seasoning mixture into each avocado half. Add some salsa, a dollop of sour cream and the Mexican cheese blend on top. Eat ...

No-Boil Italian Meatball Casserole Ingredients: 1 bag frozen meatballs, defrosted 1 jar marinara or spaghetti sauce 3 cups of water 1 box bowtie pasta 1 tsp. Italian seasoning 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese Directions: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a high-sided oven-proof pot or skillet, add the defrosted meatballs, jar of sauce, water, pasta, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine. Cover and bake for 35 minutes. Uncover and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cooking Time: 50 minutes | Total Time: 55 minutes

*अलिबाग आणि दूरदर्शन* दूरदर्शनचं पहिलं निकट दर्शन अलिबागला जे.एस.एम. काॅलेजच्या लेडीज हाॅस्टेलवर रहात असताना झालं. साल होतं 1972/73. आम्ही हाॅस्टेलवरील सर्व मुली लहान गावातून आलेल्या. मुंबई दूरदर्शन नुकतंच सुरू झालं होतं आणि टी. व्ही. सेट गावोगावी/घरोघरी अजून बसायचे होते. डेविड यांच्या आईस्क्रीमच्या दुकानात टी. व्ही. संच ठेवण्यात आला आणि संध्याकाळी तिथे आइस्क्रीम खायला येणारांची अलोट गर्दी होऊ लागली असं आम्ही ऐकून होतो. संध्याकाळी काही तासच टी.व्ही. सुरू असे. आम्ही त्या गर्दीत कधी गेलो नाही. तशी परवानगीही आम्हाला मिळाली नसती. पण नंतर काॅलेजच्या स्टाफने वर्गणी काढून टी.व्ही. संच घेतला. मॅथ्स् च्या प्रोफेसर कु. मंगला क्षीरसागर या आमच्यासह हाॅस्टेलवर रहात. मुलींनी त्यांच्याकडे हट्ट धरला. "मॅडम आम्हाला एकदा टी.व्ही. बघायला न्या ना." मॅडमनी एक दिवस खरंच स्टाफच्या लोकांकडे आमच्यासाठी परवानगी मागितली. चक्क!! हाॅस्टेलवर प्रचंड उत्साह संचारला. आणि दुग्धशर्करा योग असा होता की त्या रात्री "फूल खिले हैं गुलशन गुलशन"मधे साक्षात् सुपरस्टार राजेश खन्ना यांची मुलाखत होती. ...
